Dear friends,
As I reflect on our first International Prayer Chaplain Trainers Conference my heart is filled to overflowing with deep gratitude for all who attended, our wonderful musicians Dr. Lynne Haeseler, Sanctorum, and Devotion and the many volunteers who selflessly participated! This Daily Word written for Saturday February 24, 2007 expresses the depth of my appreciation for this experience:
Joy – Our hearts overflow with the joy of experiencing mutual love and support.
As something important to us comes to a successful conclusion, we look back on our shared experience with joy.
What began and continued with prayer has been realized. We’ve put God’s principles to practice and seen the Christ in each other. Serving God for the joy of serving, we’ve remained open and nonresistant when plans have changed or when adjustments were necessary in our routines. There has been joy in working and living together in harmony. We rejoice as we see the good we’ve practiced and sought being reflected back to us.
Our hearts are filled with the joy of experiencing mutual love and support.
“Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding…She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called happy.” -Proverbs 3:13, 18
My prayer is that every participant returned to their homes and ministries renewed and with their hearts full knowing that they are an important part of a program that is built on passion, possibilities, and purpose. The Prayer Chaplain Program is about being passionate in our faith in God as we hold a space of possibilities for those with whom we pray and our purpose is to be of service.
Many have contacted us requesting information and dates for future conferences. We appreciate all of your requests and are in prayer knowing that God is guiding us in our next steps. So stay connected with us, the best is yet to be!
